Converting a Mark V table insert to the 10E/ER.
This is the shaper/drum sander insert but the molding head insert can be done the same way and the slot cut larger for dado use. The saw slot and dado slots are too long to be used on the 10ER. Lay a 10ER insert on top of the Mark V insert making sure it is exactly centered end to end and side to side. Trace the ends of the 10ER insert onto the Mark V insert. Cut and shape the Mark V insert to match the ends and ribs of the 10ER insert. The photo below right shows how they compare when finished. The modified Mark V insert is on the left and the original 10ER insert is on the right. The Mark V insert is a little thinner than the 10ER so you will have to adjust the insert leveling screws.
