I saw an old flaring tool clamp on a flea market table for 1.00. It gave me an
idea for a V-block clamp. After disassembling and comparing to an existing
clamp and the v-block I marked the material to be removed and
took it to the belt sander. Here is the result. I would venture to say that
it is much stronger than the original clamp even with the material removed.
I have since seen several flairing tool clamps at garage sales and flea
markets.
Here is a second clamp made for another larger v-block I picked up at a
garage sale. The notch in the clamp was cut on the mill with a key way cutter.
