One of the disadvantages of the 10ER Shopsmith for lathe turning is that the
tailstock doesn't have the extending center socket like most other lathes.
This limits the room you have for positioning the tool rest for turning if
you want to use the tailstock center for stabilizing the work piece,
especially on bowls. This extenson socket will help a lot in that respect.
You'll get an extra 4" exstension for the tailstock center. It will work with
any MT2 live or cup center. Not recommended for Mark V.
